The Etchasketchist has never claimed to be immune to hype.
UPDATE:
Sam stood in line for 4 hours to get his:
It's the NBA Draft today! I'm pretty sure my Blazers are going to draft Greg Oden but even if they go with Kevin Durant, it'll look something like this.
Ever since the MAME cabinet came in to the office all the dudes are hogging it playing Street Fighter. I've always been more of a Mortal Kombat fan myself.
The Supreme Court may not support student's first ammendment rights but the Etchasketchist is officially down with school aged dadaist everywhere. Keep the old folks scratchin' their heads, kids.
Is Second Life the new MTV? The Chemical Brothers seem to think so:
The Chemical Brothers are excited to announce the virtual world premiere for their new video "Do It Again" in Second Life. The video will air at Illusion Factory Concert Pavilion in Second Life on Tuesday, June 19, 2007 and will be available for viewing until June 26
Do they have Etch-a-Sketches in Second Life yet?
Now this is what I'm talking about. Louis, from Wales, sends in a challenging photo of himself lugging his trusty Casio. Dig all that negative space!
It's another submitted photo. This one's from Marc. If you submitted a photo and you're not Marc and you're totally pissed cuz how come Marc gets his done before yours, chill. I'll get to all of them eventually. Patience. If you'd like to add your photo to my To-Do pile, send it to etchasketchist (at) gmail (dot) com.
R.I.P.
This guy taught me so much cool stuff back in the day. I loved not just Don Herbert's work as Mr. Wizard, but the entire genre of children's science shows he helped create. Bill Nye and Beakman were great, but neither of them can hold a bunsen burner to the O.G. Mr. Wiz himself. He'll be missed.
This badboy just showed up in our office. Sorry for the quickie rendering, but I've gotta go play some Space Ace.
NBA Finals are finally here! About friggin' time. For those of us without cable these playoffs have been majorly frustrating. Whatever happened to the NBA on NBC? Can we go back to that? That was good.
Hopefully the series goes to seven games so I get my fill of awesome broadcast TV basketball action before the off-season starts again.
